What's new in the July 5 update (build 23)

• Build a project by drag and drop. Drop a video, a track, a tag template and a stack into the window — in one drag or one at a time, onto any panel. Each file lands where it belongs: video first, then the track sync dialog, the template, and the stack.
• No need to save first. Importing a track into an unsaved project no longer asks you to save — build everything, save once at the end.
• Stacks import and export from the File menu. Merge, replace, or import as a new stack; an empty stack imports with no questions asked.
• Stack files carry their images. Exported stacks embed stop-frame images and pasted pictures; if a stack's videos aren't on this Mac, Pelaa offers to locate them and reconnects clips, tags and stop frames in one pass.
• Track files keep their layout. Exports remember row order and colors, and imported tracks appear immediately.
• Sharing between projects — copy track/stack files out of one project and drop them into another, or double-click them in Finder.

What's new in the July 4 update (build 22)

• Watch film at any speed. Right-click the Play button for 0.5×, 1×, 2× or 4× playback with pitch-corrected audio.
• Pick several labels at once. Right-click a tag in the Track or a clip in a Stack, tick any number of labels, click away to apply them in one step. The menu opens at the tag and follows your tag editor's order.
• Stack clips keep their own labels. Add or remove labels on a Stack clip without touching the original tag.
• "Cut All Tags Now". A label button can end every running tag exactly where you click; if it's linked to start another button, the new tag begins cleanly after the cut.
• Tags hold their full length across video boundaries on multi-video timelines.
• Track files import correctly — rows appear immediately, a sync dialog anchors them to your footage, and multi-video tracks put every tag back on its original video.
• Tag templates open and save in place, from anywhere on disk, with a working Open Recent.
• Shortcut recorder cleanup — Backspace/Delete clears a shortcut; reserved keys (including =, ], \) are rejected with a clear message.
• Re-linking moved footage reconnects everything, including every Stack's stop frames.
• Pelaa files look right in Finder — app icon, no garbled text preview, hidden extensions.

The original 1.0.3 release below was the biggest since launch. Two whole workflows arrive — analysing several game videos together, and building shareable highlight reels — alongside a round of playback and annotation fixes.

Multi-source projects

Open more than one game video in a single project. The clips play back-to-back as one continuous timeline you can scrub seamlessly end to end, with a correct running timer across the whole sequence — no re-encoding, no waiting.

• Mix footage from different games and cameras. Start a project from several videos at once, append more later, or combine two existing projects into a new self-contained one.
• Everything works across sources. Tagging, the Track, Stacks, stop frames, presentation mode, and export all map to the right clip automatically.
• Mixed shapes fit cleanly. Sources of different aspect ratios (ultrawide, vertical phone clips) are scaled to fit and centered into one frame instead of being stretched.

Highlight Reel toolkit

A new set of tools for turning analysis into something you can show a player or a room.

• Spotlight focus-mask. Dim everything but a circle on the play you want the eye to go to.
• Image annotations on stop frames. Paste or drop an image onto a frozen frame, then move and resize it freely. Images are embedded in the project at full quality, so anyone you send the project to sees exactly what you drew.
• PowerPoint-style text boxes. Every text annotation now supports a fill color (or transparent) and a border, on top of font, size, color, and alignment. Your last-used style is remembered.
• Chapter title cards. Drop a blurred-frame title slide with a centered, editable heading to divide a reel into sections (⌘⇧]).

Fixes & polish

• Presentation annotations now scale their stroke width with the shape instead of rendering too thin.
• Title-card text stays vertically centered at every size.
• ⌘-click multi-select in the Track is reliable again.
• Tag templates with the same name no longer appear twice in the menu.

Automatic updates

Pelaa checks for new versions in the background and installs them in place — from this release forward you no longer need to download a fresh DMG. You can also check on demand from Pelaa → Check for Updates….
