Pelaa 1.0.22
Released: 6 October 2026 (build 47)
A crash fix, and two places where the app could freeze for a few seconds with nothing on screen.
Fixed
- A crash while reading a still frame out of a video. Pelaa let go of the frame reader before macOS had finished with it, and the system's reply then landed in memory that was already gone. It was rare, and it happened on one Mac. Every frame read now holds on to its reader until the answer is back.
- The first launch after updating from 1.0.19 or earlier could freeze with nothing on screen. That launch moves your frozen frames out of the Documents folder, and if iCloud had offloaded some of them, each one had to download first. The move now runs with a small window that says what it is doing, and the app finishes opening once it is done. Every launch after that one skips it.
- A Track with hundreds of tags could stall for a couple of seconds on refresh. Every refresh threw away every row and every tag box and built them again. Rows and boxes that did not change now stay where they are and only move. On a 600-tag Track, a refresh went from about half a second to about a twentieth of a second on a 2015 MacBook Pro.
