Pelaa 1.0.20
Released: 24 September 2026 (build 45)
A maintenance release. Frozen frames stop going missing, and a trial that has ended says so at the door instead of a minute later.
Frozen frames move out of your Documents folder
The pictures behind your frozen frames were kept in Documents/SportsAnalysis. That turned out to be the wrong place for them. iCloud Drive syncs Documents, and under storage pressure it evicts files there to placeholders that cannot be read back: six frames vanished from one video on a Mac that had been left running for two days, untouched. Cleanup tools point at Documents too, and a folder of hash-named directories looks exactly like junk to them.
They now live under Application Support with everything else Pelaa keeps. The move happens once, by itself, the first time you launch this version. Anything of your own that was sitting in SportsAnalysis beside them stays exactly where it is.
That cache is also pruned now, which it never was before. A cached picture is deleted only once Pelaa has seen the project carrying its own copy of it, and only after ninety days without being opened, so the cache can never be holding the last copy of anything.
A trial that has ended says so
If your trial had already run out and you typed the same address into the trial screen again, Pelaa handed you back the original trial and opened. The next time the app came to the front, a sheet arrived saying the trial had ended, which is a strange way to find out. The gate now gives you the same answer straight away, and names the day the trial ended.
Fixed
- Saving a project no longer writes out a frozen frame without its picture when the picture is not where it was expected.
- Undoing the creation of a frozen frame no longer deletes its picture for good.
- Creating a frozen frame inside a clip, undoing, then redoing left the original clip sitting after the two halves, so the reel played that stretch twice. It holds the right clips now, however many times you go round, and the clip that comes back is the one that left, with its annotations.
